Build Something That Lasts

You know that feeling when you've got a business idea but aren't quite sure how to make it work? We've been there. And honestly, that's where most entrepreneurial journeys actually begin.

Our program isn't about fancy theories or recycled business wisdom you can find anywhere online. It's about getting your hands dirty with the real stuff—financial planning that makes sense, understanding cash flow before it becomes a problem, and learning how to spot opportunities others walk past.

We're kicking off our next intensive in September 2025. It runs for eight months because real skills take time to develop properly.

What You'll Actually Work Through

This isn't a step-by-step formula because businesses don't work that way. But here's what we'll tackle together over those eight months.

1

Money Foundations

Before anything else, you need to understand where money actually goes in a business. We start with budgeting that reflects reality, not optimism.

You'll learn how to read financials without feeling like you need an accounting degree. Because trust me, banks and investors can tell when someone's just guessing.

2

Strategic Thinking

This is where most people get stuck—they confuse being busy with making progress. We work on identifying what actually moves your business forward versus what just feels productive.

You'll practice making decisions with incomplete information because waiting for perfect data means you never start.

3

Practical Application

Theory's nice, but you're here to build something. Each month includes working sessions where you apply concepts to your own project or business idea.

Some attempts will work brilliantly. Others won't—and that's actually valuable learning too.

Real Progress From Real People

Started March 2024

I came in with what I thought was a solid plan for a consulting practice. Turned out my pricing structure would've bankrupted me within six months—I hadn't factored in about a dozen ongoing costs.

The financial modules saved me from learning that lesson the expensive way. Now I'm running a sustainable practice that actually supports itself.

Most valuable lesson: Understanding your numbers isn't optional—it's the foundation everything else sits on.

Completed November 2024

I'd been running my business on gut feeling for three years. It was working, but I kept hitting the same ceiling and couldn't figure out why.

Learning to analyze what was actually driving revenue versus what I thought was driving it—that changed everything. Turns out I was investing time in all the wrong places.

Biggest shift: Moving from reactive to strategic thinking. It sounds simple but it completely changed how I approach decisions.

September 2025 Intake

We keep groups deliberately small—around fifteen people—because this works best when everyone gets proper attention and feedback.

The program runs from September 2025 through April 2026. Sessions happen twice monthly, with work in between that you'll complete at your own pace.

Format: Mix of group sessions and individual consultations

Time commitment: About 10-12 hours per week on average

Location: Our Queanbeyan office, with online options available
